Absolutely! We encourage parents to join in with sessions occasionally, and we’re always looking for section leaders and adult helpers. We also have some vacancies on our executive committee which manages the group and supports the leaders. Contact us today to find out more.
Check out each section’s page from the menu for details of when they meet. All sessions are held at the Jubilee Hut on Whitmore Vale Road unless otherwise advised.
Sessions run during school term times and subscription fees are £120 per year. To spread the cost, this is payable by direct debits of £40 per term. For new members there is a one-off joining fee of £15. For families experiencing financial hardship, grants are available to cover part or, or the whole cost of membership and events such as camps. Visit our Inclusion Policy for more details.
We supply the items that are specific to our group – the scarf and badges. See each section’s page for uniform requirements. These items are available from Scout Shops (nearest are in Guildford or Farnham), or click here to order from the online scout shop.
Check out the uniform requirements on each section’s page for details of where each badge should go. Alternatively speak to one of the leaders during your next session.
Check out our Privacy/Safety page for full details.
When you join, we will give you a login for our computer system – Online Scout Manager. Here you can view your section’s activity programme, keep your contact details up to date, and see which badges your child has earned. Please ask your leader for further details. We would also be happy for you to join in – we’re always looking for section leaders and occasional adult helpers – contact us for more details
Grayshott Scout Group has been at the heart of the local community for more than 100 years, with adult leaders and helpers always being an integral part of that story. Without them, the Group simply wouldn’t exist; and the more we have, the more we can share the work and enjoy it. We are now actively recruiting for adults to join us for just a few hours each month.
